The Siphon Bridge, featured in "Ripley's Believe it or Not" is world famous as it's roadway was actually lower than the water level in the flume, making the water actually assist in holding up the roads surface. In the background is the centerpeice of Pioneer Park, the Historical Water Tower currently under renovation, but open to the Public.

This view shows the flume which directed the manistique River to the Manistique Pulp and Paper mill which used the water in production of their papermaking process until the 1970's. In 2002 the flume wall was cut lower to allow the river to drain as the water was no longer needed at the mill. The cutaway section shows how high the water level used to be, which assisted in holding up the roads surface. This is now a favorite fishing destination in the spring and fall for salmon and steelhead.
